MAXITA EC-17 & EC-27 Hot Stamping Demo Guide

Learn how to properly use the MAXITA EC-17 and EC-27 hot stamping machines to achieve clean, professional foil stamping results. This guide covers the complete workflow—from setup to final stamping—helping you improve accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.

Before You Start

Before operating the machine, make sure:

• The machine is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface
• The stamp (brass logo or letters) is securely installed
• The power supply matches your region (110V/220V)
• You have prepared your material (leather, paper, etc.) and foil

Both EC-17 and EC-27 are designed for hot stamping and embossing only.

Step 1: Turn On & Preheat

1. Connect the power cable and turn on the machine
2. Set the target temperature using the control panel
3. Allow the machine to preheat for at least 10 minutes

Recommended starting temperature:

• Foil stamping: 80°C – 120°C
• Deep embossing: 100°C – 150°C

👉 Tip: Always run a test on scrap material before working on your final product.

Step 2: Adjust Temperature & Time

Temperature

• Use the (+) / (–) buttons to adjust
• Monitor both:
  • Set temperature
  • Real-time temperature

Time (Dwell Time)

• Set stamping time depending on material thickness:

Proper temperature and timing are key to achieving clean and consistent results.

Step 3: Position Your Material

• Place your material flat on the working platform
• Align the stamping area carefully

For EC-27:

• Use the infrared positioning system for fast alignment

For EC-17:

• Use positioning tools (calipers or guides) for precision

Accurate alignment is essential to avoid uneven or misplaced stamping.

Step 4: Apply Pressure & Stamp

1. Lower the handle slowly and evenly
2. Apply moderate pressure (avoid excessive force)
3. Hold for the preset time
4. Release the handle smoothly

• Too much pressure may damage leather
• Too little pressure may result in incomplete stamping

Step 5: Foil Stamping (Optional)

If using foil:

1. Place foil between stamp and material
2. Ensure foil is flat and wrinkle-free
3. Perform stamping as usual
